Happy spring everyone; here’s to a fresh start!

Yes, spring is here and everybody has the urge to change up some things, do a little refreshing, and make their homes like new! The biggest question everyone asks?…what are the best and newest trends out there? Here are a few tips:

Don’t be afraid of some color! I get it, grey is still very hot…but for the spring season, think lighter and brighter! Use those beautiful neutrals as a base to make your accents shine. Blues and corals are very popular right now, and they look amazing with the taupe and grey neutrals. If you want to be cutting edge, you could try blush. Yep, you heard right…not pink, but blush! The inspiration is Pantone’s color of the year, Rose Quartz. We are seeing it everywhere; in fabric, paint, and wallpaper! It looks awesome with different metals. Pillows, drapes, artwork, and area rugs are a fantastic way to bring some color into an otherwise ‘blah’ space.

Lighten your kitchen! This could be as easy as a fresh coat of paint on the walls, a timeless subway backsplash, or a new countertop. Tired of those cabinets? Paint them …or have someone else paint them! Striking white or cream cabinets with new hardware will make your kitchen look like a brand new room. Wood-grain tile flooring is an amazing trend right now. You get the wood visual without the worry of water or possibility of scratching your floors! They are available in traditional colors as well as cream, grey, and natural. The kitchen is the room where everyone gathers and you spend most of your time anyway, right? Make it a beautiful place that you will enjoy!

Get rid of the junk! This one is nobody’s favorite, but spring is the time for a deep clean. De-clutter and organize your home. Use bins, baskets, and chalkboard signs for storing and labeling. Go room by room, but start with the ones where clutter goes to die…you know, places like the laundry room, mud room, and the guest bedroom. It’s ok, we all have those rooms! Make your organization time a fun activity for the family one weekend. Who knows what kinds of memories you’ll find while cleaning out. Don’t forget though, if you haven’t needed it for 6 months to a year, you probably don’t need it. Do not be afraid to throw unnecessary items away! Seriously, this will make your world a better place.

Happy spring everyone; here’s to a fresh start!

Worked with us and came on our time line. Very professional and friendly. The vinyl planking installed matches and blended in with other flooring. Looks like wood and is water proof. We are very happy.
